Our Story: Securing Southeast Louisiana Since 2012
NOLA Protection Group was founded in 2012 by Frank Quinn and Darrell Dumestre, two professionals with deep roots in the New Orleans community. Frank, a certified Louisiana State Board of Private Security Examiners Licensed Qualifying Agent, recognized a significant gap in the local security market. National security corporations were cycling through the region, offering generic solutions with little understanding of what makes Southeast Louisiana unique. The vision was clear: build a locally owned, professionally managed security company that combined military-grade discipline with genuine knowledge of our neighborhoods, our people, and the distinct challenges this region presents.
Darrell brought invaluable experience from the entertainment and event industry, giving NOLA Protection Group an immediate edge in securing high-profile productions and major events. Together, they launched in 2012 serving New Orleans and the south Louisiana area.

Over the past 14 years, NOLA Protection Group has grown from that small operation into one of the most trusted security providers in the region. Holding License #852 from the Louisiana State Board of Private Security Examiners, we now protect hundreds of properties, events, and individuals across the Greater New Orleans area and beyond. We are the Largest Locally Owned Guard Company in the region. Our growth has never been driven by aggressive marketing. Instead, it has been fueled organically by referrals from satisfied clients who experienced firsthand the difference that well-trained, locally managed security makes.
Key milestones include securing contracts with high-profile events like the New Orleans Saints and Pelicans games, the Caesars Superdome, Essence Festival and the Allstate Sugar Bowl. Our work with major entertainment productions for ESPN, CBS, NBC, and hundreds of Hollywood South Productions further expanded our reputation for handling complex, high-visibility security assignments with professionalism and precision.

Every member of our team is carefully selected, thoroughly vetted, and extensively trained. All officers undergo comprehensive background checks and verification of qualifications before completing our intensive training program conducted in-house by our state-approved instructor. Topics include crisis prevention, verbal de-escalation, CPR and first aid, AED certification, active shooter protocols, workplace violence awareness, and customer service excellence.
